  • Dear Friends and Supporters

With creativity and social engagement as our credo, Arm-of-the-Sea makes a difference. Each year we partner with scores of arts presenters, community organizations and school groups to present our original thought-provoking productions. In the past 18 months we’ve presented one hundred twenty five performances and conducted over thirteen weeks of artist residency programs at schools and community centers. More than 25,000 people saw a performance or participated in one of our residency programs. And most of the performances were free!

Now, in this lengthening recession, many of the organizations and school groups that request our shows are finding it difficult to meet our normal fees. Furthermore, schools are making deep cuts to arts programming, with the prospect of young people having very limited exposure to living artists and live performances. To counter this, we are launching a campaign that would enable us to offer fee reductions to financially strapped organizations. The New York State Council on the Arts has provided a $7,400 grant toward this effort. We need to double that amount.

Would you be able to help us out?

All contributions of $30 or more will receive two passes for our 2010 Esopus Creek Puppet Suite
which takes place in Saugerties, NY on August 13 & 14, at the Tina Chorvas Waterfront Park. This
performance spectacle is created anew each year and serves as an important incubator for
    developing new touring shows.

We hope to see you at a performance soon — and invite your friends. You can make a donation by simply clicking on the DONATE button on the home page of this website.
Or mail a check payable to: Arm-of-the-Sea Theater, PO Box 175, Malden-on-Hudson, NY 12453

    Thank you!
