Want to shake off your summer lethargy and crackling disenchantments from a World-Out-Of-Balance?

Arm-of-the-Sea has openings for performers and musicians for our 2013 Esopus Creek Puppet Suite. This site-specific event will take place in Saugerties on August 23rd, 24th & 25th. This year’s  production, A BEND IN THE CRICK  – True Tall Tales From Olde Saugerties, is inspired by events in local history. The show weaves together stories from Saugerties farming families, civil war draftees & draft dodgers, paper mill workers, a steamboat captain, a wandering poet, two sisters who served as lighthouse keepers, and lively mortals from the Fishermen’s Rest social club.

There are a number of ways to participate

~ In the core company of main character roles, which involves about ten evenings of rehearsals and performances in the time period Aug. 11-25.

~ As a sonic shaker and lifter in the Jubilation Junk Orchestra, which involves eight evenings of rehearsals and performances in the time period Aug. 17-25.

~ In the ensemble of puppeteers, which involves seven evenings of rehearsals and performances in the time period Aug. 19-25.

~ As lighting board operator, which involves six evenings of rehearsals and performances in the time period Aug. 20-25.

~ As site crew & backstage helpers, which involves five evenings of rehearsals and performances in the time period Aug. 21-25.
