Arm-of-the-Sea is dedicated to presenting live, original theater for audiences of many ages and walks of life. We sustain ourselves primarily from performance fees and workshop income. We solicit contributions in order to keep our fees affordable to a broad range of audiences and community organizations.
We’re also in the process of transforming the complicated ruins of a 19th-century paper mill in Saugerties, NY into a vibrant cultural park and hub for estuary arts and science. We’ve created a Master Plan, and have applied for site plan approval for some initial work. And with the recent construction of 125′ of shoreline bulkhead and a new public fishing area, the Arm-of-the-Sea Tidewater Center is gaining momentum.
Now we’re raising money to re-purpose a large coalbin structure as a solar-powered performance and exhibition space. It’s a $45,000 project. And we’ve already secured $20,000. Each person donating $25 or more by August 15th will receive two tickets to our 2019 Esopus Creek Puppet Suite. Thanks for being a part of this!
