Waterfront Wednesday @ the Tidewater Center
Waterfront Wednesdays is the Tidewater Center’s weekly performance night, featuring pre-show activities such as a live aquarium, an interactive stream table, the Mill Museum, arts & crafts activities and more. Doors and pre-show activities begin at 6:00pm and Arm-of-the-Sea performs a full-length show at 7:15. Local opening acts and workshops TBA.
Arm-of-the-Sea will perform FROM RAGS TO RICHES: Stories of a Saugerties Paper Mill. This historic drama is based on the water-powered paper mill that operated for 135 years on the Tidewater site. This show is a work-in-progress, with new scenes being added each week during the month-long series of Waterfront Wednesdays, with the finale culminating for this last show on July 30th.
Featured opening act at 6:30pm: Saugerties Sings - this local choir welcomes all individuals regardless of singing experience. The group emphasizes the joy and therapeutic benefits of singing.

Estuary Tales @ Storm King Arts Center
This performance spectacle fuses live music, movement and large-scale puppetry in a deep dive about the checkered past of the Hudson River. The show reveals the river’s complex inner life through a myriad of characters, stories and songs.

Here’s the epic tale of New York City’s water supply presented in the elemental beauty of mask & puppet theatre. This sequel to the company’s original 1999 production continues the story into the 21st century, revealing the ecosystem of the Catskill mountain forest and introducing a new generation of watershed stewards confronting the challenges of climate change and monumental infrastructure repair needed to keep the water clean.

With whimsy and ingenuity, the show reveals the Hudson River’s complex inner life and chronicles the long struggle to clean up the river. 2pm - FREE!
